Twin Charter Night
Thursday night was a great night for Rotaract in Ireland. It marked the celebration of two Rotaract clubs being chartered. Dublin City club and Dublin South clubs were officially chartered by Peter Offer of RIBI in the St. Stephens Green Hibernian Club in Dublin. The room, kindly provided by the Rotary Club of Dublin Central was packed to capacity with several unlucky latecomers being left to stand.
On the night two news clubs, Dublin City club co-sponsored by Rotary clubs of Dublin, Dublin Central and Dublin Viking and Dublin South sponsored by the Rotary club of Dun Laoghaire, offically came into existance. Niamh, Clodagh and Howard spoke of the great work already done by Dublin City in their short life of only 8 months and the great ideas and expectations of the newly formed Dublin South.
They join sister clubs Belfast and Galway which were also charted in the last week and Dublin North which has a long and distinguished history.
Photos from the event are available on the rotary.ie website.
